Monthly Maintenance

OverDrive has a recurring monthly maintenance window (third Thursday of each month from 6:00 - 8:00 AM US Eastern Time) which causes a problem with download fulfillment. Users attempting to download titles from approximately 7:00 - 8:40 AM US Eastern Time receive a system error.

Download Books and Music!

Enjoy Audiobooks

Enjoy WMA Music

Adobe EPUB eBooks feature reflowable text, which means you can resize the text or change the size of your display and the text of the Adobe EPUB eBook reflows to fill the available view area. This makes Adobe EPUB eBooks the best choice for reading eBooks on small screens, like an eBook reader. Works on most devices (Nook, iPad) except Kindle.

Kindle - Amazon's eBook format for their Kindle eReader.

PDF - Adobe PDF eBooks feature a static layout with set page breaks. PDF works well for graphic novels, illustrated titles, and other titles with specific formatting.  Works on Nook, Sony Reader, Pandigital, and Kobo.

WMA - Windows Media Audio (WMA) format are digitally-protected audiobook and music titles and are about half the file size of the MP3 format. Many WMA titles can be transferred to Apple devices (where permitted by the publisher) only by using OverDrive Media Console on a PC. WMA files don't play on as many devices as MP3 files. Many of our audiobooks and all of our music are WMA files.

MP3 - These audio files are much larger than the WMA files, but can play on more devices such as MP3 players, most smartphones, and iPods. Our MP3 audiobook collection is smaller than our WMA collection because more publishers offer their audiobooks as WMAs due to the digital protection of WMA titles.
