BABY BOOMER RESOURCES

Retirement nest eggTompkins County Public Library serves community residents at each stage of their lives by providing free and open access to the world's wisdom, knowledge, and information. In keeping with this mission, we offer many materials to assist our Baby Boomer patrons, many who are experiencing new roles in life as caregivers, retirees, and grandparents. This guide lists key general resources available through the Library.

 

Books and DVDs

You can use the PowerPAC online catalog to find materials at our library, as well as request them from other libraries in the Finger Lakes Library System. To narrow your search, try using the following search terms:

  • Academic OneFile (Gale)  
      
    Offers full-text articles of the physical sciences, technology, medicine, social sciences, the arts, theology, literature and more.
  • Health Reference Center Academic (Gale)
    Includes over 2,800 journals and magazines, many of which are full text. It contains nursing and allied health journals, other medical journals, newsletters and consumer health magazines.

TCPL has subscriptions to a variety of print magazines and periodic literature. Paper copies of the following magazines and newspapers are located in the North Reading Room:
